Mountain
Gravity Worx produces ultra-high quality carbon mountain bike wheels in 2 grades, Reactor and SuperComp. The Reactor wheels feature a proprietary layup of carbon fiber and Kevlar, bonded with an advanced epoxy. This combination is both light and strong, and better able to resist direct impacts from rocks. They are laced to our own straight pull hubs with high POE 6 pawl ratchet drives, and use Sapim forged double butted spokes that we cut and thread. This is all held firmly with forged alloy self locking 14mm nipples.
Our SuperComp wheels are in a league of their own. They use an entirely new layup process and epoxy that results in a super light and strong rim. We even mold the spoke holes and valve hole into the rim instead of drilling. The spoke holes are internally butted for superior strength and precision, unlike all the other rims on the market. All of our wheels are tubeless ready without needing tape, a really nice feature for anyone who has had to deal with taping a rim in the past. Unfortunately, all this cool tech takes much longer to cut, layup, and mold. This is the reason the SuperComp wheels cost more than the Reactor wheels. We do this so that people will have a choice in what they ride and can afford, light and strong, or really light and really strong.
